What a Journey Architect is

Your Journey Architect is the one person responsible for your trip from the first phone call to the day your coffee table book arrives. They call you, design the itinerary, handle everything before you leave, and are on call around the clock from thirty days before departure until you are home. Then they follow up.

You are never handed on. The person on your first call is the person who arranges your airstrip departures and who checks your book has gone out. Most guests end up treating them as a friend who happens to know Africa very well, and we plan for that.

What a Journey Architect knows

Each of them has been to every country they plan for, many times and in different seasons. They have slept in the lodges they recommend, played the courses they suggest and flown the routes they draw up. They know which camps have quietly slipped and which new ones have earned a place. They read the notes from every Ascot Private journey and change their advice when the notes say they should.

They also know what Scott expects. Every itinerary goes to him before it goes to you. If something falls short, he asks why, and it gets fixed before you see it.
