V&A Waterfront, Cape Town · South Africa · 131-room Waterfront resort
One&Only Cape Town
One&Only Cape Town is the Waterfront resort with Table Mountain in front of it and the only Nobu in Africa downstairs. It has 131 rooms, and the spa sits on its own island in the marina. We use it when a party wants a bigger hotel with more going on, and above all for families.
For children it works well. There is a children's programme every day and a 25-metre pool, and the Two Oceans Aquarium and the Zeitz MOCAA are both on the Waterfront. Parents get Nobu one night and Ochre, the hotel's other restaurant, for an easier evening. The Okavango Family Water World, for families of four to six, up to three generations, spends its opening two nights here.
On The Grand Traverse it is a single night. You spend the morning on Robben Island with a specialist historian, on a chartered boat rather than the public ferry, then move across the Waterfront from The Silo in the afternoon. Dinner is at Nobu. The next morning your Embraer Phenom 300 takes you to George for three nights at Fancourt.
You arrive at Cape Town International, where we meet you and drive you in. On the family journeys your aircraft leaves Cape Town for Maun and the Okavango, or for George and the Garden Route.
Good to know
- Cape Town is malaria-free.
- The children's programme runs daily.
- The Two Oceans Aquarium and the Zeitz MOCAA are on the same Waterfront.
