Londolozi Granite Suites

Londolozi has watched its leopards for decades and keeps a record of individual animals and their lineage. That record is the reason we send people here. When your guide finds you a leopard, you also hear who she is, who her mother was, and which tree she was born in.

The Granite Suites are six suites set on the rocks above the Sand River. On The Highveld Golf Circuit we book all six for your party, so the camp, the guide and the tracker are yours for three nights.

You fly in from Leopard Creek, a short hop by Cessna Caravan to the Londolozi strip. On approach the pilot makes a low pass to clear impala, and sometimes elephant, off the runway, and your guide and tracker are waiting by the vehicle when you climb down.

The days are simple. A morning drive, a long lunch, a late-afternoon drive, and as long with each sighting as you want. On the last evening your guide stops by the river where a table has been set on the sandbank, lit by lanterns. Hippo call from downstream while dinner is served and the stars come out over the riverbed.

It suits golfers who have done the big courses and want to finish somewhere quiet, and anyone for whom one good leopard sighting is worth more than a list of species. You leave by Pilatus PC-12, direct to OR Tambo for your flight home.
